Who is Watching?

It was always interesting for me to observe people. After all, each person is a separate World with its own internal volcanoes, deserts, flowering gardens and hidden treasures. Everyone is different. The most interesting thing is that in order to know the world of another, we first have to know ourselves, to step into our desert. It happened to me too.
The desire to know oneself led through three steps: from the external look to the inner self-knowledge and comprehension, and then to the knowledge of the invisible distant - the knowledge of the spirit. I am sure that the Lord Himself led me this way.
Since the creation of works under the general title "Who is watching?" more than 10 years have passed. And now, years later, I see my work and myself as if from the outside. During that period of time, I was overwhelmed with inner experiences and a lot of questions, to which I just needed to find answers in order to fill the void inside. It was photography that became the very instrument that allowed me to record my most different states. Since a long exposure allows you to highlight a moving object in space and time, I could afford to be myself and fix objects in the frame in different moods.
Surprisingly, these works both confirmed and denied my understanding of myself. This method of fixing photographs allowed me to simultaneously be, as it were, on opposite poles of human feelings and behavior: affirming and doubting, affirming and confirming, affirming and denying.
I could participate in a game that I had invented myself — a game that had no predetermined rules. I could feel my inner states, realize dualism. Such observation of oneself and immersion in the lived experience made it possible to realize the greatness of the Creator, and to assess how interesting a person created in His image is. The creator looks after his work - and the work can also create! A creative person is able to find "secret" doors, enter through them - and this experience is indescribable. The taste of such an experience remains in the soul forever, and then there is no way back, only a further road …
These fortunes took tangible form in digital jpg format. My experience of various states and the images themselves formed the titles of the works. Thus were born: "Taming the Silence", "Prayer", "Birth", "Covenant", "Self-observation", "Support Points", "Friend of the Soul", "Invisible Thread from Eve to the Holy Virgin Mary", "To Know the Truth", "Together", "And now and forever", "Sin", "The weight of experience", "Scene of pride", "Me and you."
