«Sound is the beginning of creativity»
​
Creativity can be in different qualities, it is intended to renounce the ordinary. As much as music or another form of art helps us to break away from ordinary reality, so deeply we suddenly feel the happiness of freedom . People can be so happy with music that they cry. When we first hear something intimate, be it music, someone’s speech or a sermon, we feel a storm of emotions, a huge amount of energies awaken in us. An amazing power awakens within us, and we forget what happened today, yesterday, forget about work — all the boredom goes away. We just feel happy, because at this moment we renounce the everyday world and become ourselves. If a person works at the machine, sharpens bolts and nuts, then he does not need higher energies, chakras — he cannot apply it. As a person, he is not needed by bolts and nuts. It becomes part of the machine, the mechanism.

But we still need to feel what we would like to feel. We have senses, but we don’t use them. Therefore, we want to listen to music, we want to watch performances, dances, see bright talents, stunning beauty. People go to the Pamirs, to the Himalayas, find themselves in dangerous situations in order to feel life, to wake up. Some jump with a parachute, and some even without a parachute. I recently learned that the Japanese have come up with a new creative game. They first drop a parachute from the plane, and then jump themselves. First, they made an experiment: a man was with a parachute, threw another parachute and jumped after him. In flight, he had to catch up with the parachute, have time to put it on and pull the ring. They succeeded, and now they rise high into the air, drop a parachute and jump after it. Such extreme is needed in order to break away from everyday life, to get adrenaline.

As mentioned earlier, sound is the beginning of creativity. In ancient China, before giving people a higher education, they were first taught two sciences, and then they decided whether to teach this person further or not. It is now lost. These two sciences are music and painting. If a person could not hear or see anything beautiful, then he was not given a higher education. In the beginning, the human heart had to be associated with beauty, and only then can it be trained. Not that a person who does not see or hear anything is qualified in society. If he does not perceive beauty and harmony, he becomes a fraud. Everyone is a cheater by nature. But beauty and harmony cleanse a person, free him from false ideas and from a false ego.

«Beauty is a great power»

Beauty is a tremendous power. «Beauty will save the world.» There is an interesting example of this. One woman said, “My husband drinks. He wants to quit, he is a good person, but weak, and therefore goes into a binge. This is a serious problem, but we are trying to solve it. I tried different ways, but sooner or later, he returned to drinking. But one friend advised me: “Near Krasnodar, not far away, there is a beautiful lake. You haven’t been there? This is the lotus lake. Not simple lotuses, not water lilies, but royal lotuses. They are very beautiful and their scent spreads for hundreds of meters around. Take him there, let him look at these thickets of tall, huge lotuses. » That woman took her husband to the lake, he looked at the lotuses and for six months did not touch alcohol at all. He cried when he saw all this beauty! When a person has vices, his heart becomes chained and, above all, becomes immune to beauty. You say: «Look how beautiful it is!» And he replies: «Well, yes» and does not pay attention. And if you look with different eyes, you can constantly see a lot of beauty around.
My wife and daughter were also on that lake, and I did not expect to see this. Before that, I sometimes saw lotuses in botanical gardens. But when I saw them in nature, I was struck by this amazing form of life, incredible purity. People made bridges right into the water, and you can walk along the bridges among thickets of lotuses with thick stalks.

Each lotus stem has 6 channels. In the Puranas it is described that the universe is built in the shape of a lotus, therefore the lotus is a reflection of the universe . The entire creation of this world begins with a lotus that grows from the navel of Garbhodakasayi Vishnu lying on the waters of the universe. This image is spiritual, and therefore it is invisible to material eyes. A stem grows from His navel, a lotus grows from the stem, and in this lotus the first living entity appears — the creator of the universe. He deals directly with creation. When my daughter saw these thickets, she asked: «Dad, what is this — heaven?» If I were in her place, I would say the same thing. But she, as a child, was able to express her feelings directly and easily.

«God is beauty»

I am engaged in various activities, mainly giving lectures, communicating in classrooms. I already have experience and even fame — both in the cities of the CIS and abroad. When I need to rest, the best thing for me is to paint something beautiful. But from my own experience, I know that when you do not portray anything for a long time, do not observe carefully, you lose your keen perception. And if you start drawing, wherever you look, you immediately see harmony, beauty, magnificent combinations. It turns out that beauty is everywhere, if you look at it through the eyes of an artist.

Once I read the biography of the artist Vasiliev. He died at 23, when he was already considered a genius of painting. During his teenage years, he created many masterpieces — mainly landscapes. He fell ill with consumption, tuberculosis, and was sent from the Leningrad region, where he lived and wrote, to the Black Sea, to the Crimea. There was a creative dacha. I read his letter written to Repin. These were his impressions of the Black Sea, Crimea, nature, which he saw for the first time — a miracle, not a letter! I didn’t expect to read this. This man felt so subtly, so admired everything! He described such amazing things that he was speechless. He had a storm inside him, tremendous strength, subtle energy of feelings. Vasiliev beheld everything that is right in front of our eyes, but he saw subtly, sharply, saw with his heart. He felt beauty.
And Repin wrote to him in response: «Berdyaev said (this is a famous Russian philosopher) that a person who sees the beauty of nature believes in God.» And Vasiliev answered him: «Yes, I believe in God!» He was jubilant when he read the answer, because God is beauty. This is where you need to start comprehending God. You need to see, hear beauty — and create it.

«Personality does not die»
​
God creates with great respect for any form of life, and each of these forms is His creation. Creation is an amazing picture and a topic for discussion. And man is a special creation. The human body, subject to the program of birth and death, can be a source of suffering, but, nevertheless, we get such an expensive body for a short time. But this is a very complex mechanism, created with such harmony, beauty, with such respect for the individual. As one Greek philosopher said: “Look how respectfully the creator gives us this body! We have eyes, below the nose, and even below — the mouth, and this is convenient. You look at food, you can take it, smell it with your nose and eat it. » The organs of sight, smell and taste are located very conveniently. The mouth is under the nose, the eyes are slightly higher, and the ears are on the sides so that they do not interfere and can protect you while you eat. And the anus is farther from the nose. You can imagine what it would be like if the anus was just under the nose, and the mouth is where the anus is.
This example shows how in nature everything is done expediently, with respect for the individual, for the owner of the body, for the soul. Perhaps we deserve suffering by having material bodies that are born, sick, aged, die and reborn. But the personality does not die — only the body dies. And after the death of the body, the personality is born again. “The one who is born will die, and the deceased will be born again” ( Bhagavad-gita, 2.27 ). This is confirmed by almost all ancient scriptures. Directly or indirectly, with a hint or in detail, rebirth is mentioned in the Russian Vedas , Indian Vedas, Odyssey, Iliad and the Bible. Everywhere you can find direct or indirect statements that the person, the soul, is immortal. And we know this very well from ourselves. Nobody wants to disappear and die. We are immortal in our desires, in our creativity. We want our creativity to be immortal, as well as our personality, our «I». When we are trying to achieve immortality in material consciousness, we are trying to build a monument to ourselves so that people will remember us forever.

«Creativity is a good memory»
​
But this is optional. It is good when a good memory remains about a person, but it happens that the memory remains not very good. Creativity is a good memory. It is needed so that other people walk a good path and, as a result of creativity, become aware of themselves as a soul, and not as a material body. The task of creativity is to renounce material consciousness, to rise above it. At least for the duration of the concert, for the duration of the creative act. When a person speaks, then the words should correspond to his spirit. He should not talk about trifles, material problems and illnesses, he should endure them. And one should always speak on lofty topics. Speech should always inspire others to rise above material existence.
