In the book by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, “Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead,” one can find a fascinating, detailed and authentic account of the extraordinary activities of Lord Sri Krishna, who came to earth five thousand years ago to rid this planet of the burden of huge armies and call people living on it to His beautiful eternal abode.
Bhaktivedanta Book Trust published the book in 2003. This special edition includes 77 illustrations by Lithuanian artist Devaki Devi Dasi.
These illustrations took five years of intense work and deep emotion. Not without some adventures. Constant meditation on the Lord’s games brought the artist closer to knowing herself as a soul, a particle of God. We deepened her attempt to look for a source of inspiration within herself.
